Although he led the Raiders to their best record in eight seasons, the Raiders have decided not to bring back Tom Cable as head coach in 2011.

Cable’s agent Don Yee said “Coach Cable was informed the club would not be exercising its option for the 2011 season, and that he’s free to seek employment elsewhere,” and that other “teams have already showed interest in Tom.”

Cable was 17-27 as head coach of the Oakland Raiders.
